Wesley Snipes is an American actor, director, and film producer who was born on July 31, 1962, in Orlando, Florida. He was the son of a teacher's assistant named Marian and an aircraft engineer named Wesley Rudolph Snipes. He grew up in the Bronx, New York, where he attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Performing Arts. Snipes moved back to Florida before he could graduate and finished at Jones High School. He returned to New York and attended the State University of New York at Purchase. Upon graduating from the State University of New York, Snipes attended Southwest College in Los Angeles, California. Snipes made his film debut in the 1986 film "Wildcats".
That same year, Snipes made his television debut in the show "Miami Vice". He went on to play a number of roles in action films including "Demolition Man", "Money Train", "U.S. Marshals", and the Marvel Comic "Blade" trilogy. Snipes married April Snipes who had a son with named Jelani. The pair would eventually divorce and Snipes remarried to Nakyung "Nikki" Park who he has four children with. Snipes has had a number of problems stemming from his tax filings and was indicted in a conspiracy charge that accused him of filing a false amended return of over $4 million in 1996.
