Early Life and Background

Allison Mack was born on July 29, 1982, in Preetz, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, to parents Jonathan and Mindy Mack. Although born in Germany, she spent much of her childhood growing up in Long Beach, California, alongside her older brother, Shannon, and her sister, Robyn. Her passion for acting developed early; at age four, she appeared in a German chocolate commercial. By the age of seven, she was training professionally at the Young Actors Space.

Film Career

Mack began her film career in 1989 with a small role in Police Academy 6: City Under Siege. She went on to appear in several films throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Notable roles include Natalie in Night Eyes 3 (1993), Heather in Camp Nowhere (1994), Monica Cochran in No Dessert, Dad, Till You Mow the Lawn (1995), and Jenny Szalinski in Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves (1997). Her later film work includes Alice and Huck (2008), You (2009), Miserable Old Beasts (2009), Frog (2010), and Marilyn (2011).

Television Career and Notable Roles

Mack made her television debut in 1990, playing Jenny in the series Shangri-La Plaza. She gained widespread recognition for her role as Chloe Sullivan in the long-running series Smallville (2001–2011), where she was a series regular and a fan favorite. In 2000, she appeared as Kate Jacobs in Opposite Sex, and later in 2012, she played Amanda in the series Wilfred.

Her television credits are extensive and include roles in several popular series. She appeared as Gloria in Empty Nest (1990), Jessica in Sweet Justice (1995), Nicole Jacob in 7th Heaven (1998), Georgia in Kate Brasher (2001), Charlotte Scott in The Nightmare Room (2002), Clea in The Batman (2006), Hilary in The Following (2015), and Julia in American Odyssey (2015).
