Professional NFL Career

Rison began his professional career in the NFL when he was selected in the first round of the 1989 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. After a successful rookie season, he was traded to the Atlanta Falcons in 1990. It was with the Falcons that Rison enjoyed the most productive stretch of his career, earning four consecutive Pro Bowl selections from 1990 to 1993. He quickly became known for his strong hands, route running, and ability to score, accumulating over 1,000 receiving yards in four of his five seasons with Atlanta.

Team Transitions and Super Bowl Victory

After leaving the Falcons, Rison joined the Cleveland Browns in 1995 as a free agent. His time in Cleveland was brief and marked by inconsistent play and controversy. In the following years, Rison moved through several teams, including the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Green Bay Packers. While playing with the Packers in the 1996 season, Rison won his only Super Bowl ring with a victory in Super Bowl XXXI, where he also caught a touchdown pass. He later played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders before concluding his NFL career in 2000.
