Andrea Canning was born on December 10, 1972, in Blue Mountain, Ontario, Canada. She grew up in Collingwood, Ontario. Her mom, Katherine was a former ski champion. Her mom passed away in 2007.

In 1994, Canning graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a psychology degree. She went on to attend Ryerson Polytechnic University where she studied radio and television arts.

Marriage, Husband, and Kids

Andrea Canning married Tony Bancroft, a LtCol in the USMCR and an F/A-18 instructor pilot. The couple went on to have five children, All their children were daughters until 2018 when Canning announced she was expecting a baby boy.

No interference bothers the mother of six, who stays unruffled in spite of the way that she hasn't got an opportunity to fix her hair and cosmetics or even put on something else for upcoming photoshoots. Andrea is one of those individuals who turns up looking easily camera-prepared, much the same as the characters in her favorite 1990s show, Melrose Place.

In the midst of the fantasy gigs and the existence of never-ending travel, Andrea figured out how to meet the man she had always wanted, U.S. military pilot Tony, through her outside undertakings journalist companion Martha Raddatz, whom he met while positioned in Iraq. The couple started out as friends. Getting married two years after the fact in 2008, they immediately had a child, Anna.

Andrea and Tom had a long-distance relationship even when after they got married because of his job in the military. When their fourth child was on the way, they moved to Westchester County, N.Y. They felt it was the absolute best spot to raise a big family. As a hardworking woman, Andrea did not spend much time off between each child. She only rested a few months after each child was born before she prepared herself to get back to work.

Andrea Canning began her career in journalism working for WCPO-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio. Between 1996 and 1997, she worked as an editor for the television show "Extra". In 1997, Canning moved to CKVR-TV in Barrie, Ontario. She then ended up moving to WPTV-TV in West Palm Beach Florida.

Canning also worked as the morning anchor for WXVT-CBS in Greenville, Mississipi. She was also an intern for the show "Baywatch" in Los Angeles where she was roommates with future television host Ryan Seacrest.

Working her way up the career stepping stool, Andrea landed stretches at ABC News, Good Morning America, and the Today Show. Her unexpected break, however, came in 2011 with a 20/20 Charlie Sheen interview that saw her tackle the disputable Hollywood star on issues extending from sedate use to his crack with his acclaimed father, Martin Sheen.

From 2004 to 2012, Canning worked as a correspondent for ABC News covering U.S. politics, the White House, Congress, the Supreme Court, and global events like the Iraq War.
