Andrew James Clutterbuck was born on September 14, 1973 in London, United Kingdom. He spent his early childhood days in Hull, Yorkshire before his family moved to Bath, Somerset when he was 10 years old. His father worked as a civil engineer and his mother was employed as a nurse.

He got his education at Beechen Cliff School in Bath. He then started to develop as a young actor when he enrolled into the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

Acting Career

Andrew’s first major acting gig was in the BBC drama This Life. He was cast as Edgar 'Egg' Cook in the popular UK drama series. That major break was then followed by roles like Simon Casey in the Channel 4 sitcom Teachers. Many romantic comedy fans remember him as Mark in the Christmas-themed romantic comedy film, Love Actually.

In 2010, he shot to superstardom when he was cast in The Walking Dead. He currently plays the lead character, Rick Grimes.

Lincoln is married to a woman named Gael Anderson.
