Andrew Zimmern married Rishia Haas, a professional formerly working as an administrative assistant and later as an admissions coordinator, in 2002. As of 2016, the couple and their son, Noah, were reportedly residing together in Edina, Minnesota.

Struggles and Transformation

Despite his current success, Zimmern once battled serious personal challenges. In the late 1980s, he struggled with severe addiction to drugs and alcohol, leading to a period of homelessness. During this time, he survived by stealing items from cafés to fund his addiction. However, in 1992, Zimmern entered treatment, successfully recovered, and rebuilt his life and career. His transformation from homelessness to becoming one of America’s most recognizable culinary figures is widely regarded as inspirational.
