Rising From the Ashes

In December 2013, the series aired its fifth season on TruTV. In 2014, season six was not aired. It was announced that they would only air the classic episodes from the previous seasons. There had been a massive fire on the grounds of Michael's property, and it destroyed all of the Full Throttle Saloon and the surrounding buildings and structures in September 2015. Michael claimed that a pinched extension cord for a keg refrigerator had overheated and sparked at a media event, which then caught a nearby box on fire, and that was the initial cause of the fire. After the fire, the truTV network announced on Twitter that they would not renew a contract with Michael and Angie for any more seasons of the reality television show. The news was devastating to the couple, but Michael soon found hope in another Reelz Channel network. They picked up the show for their network but did not film any new content. They started airing only reruns of the show in October of 2014. In December 2015, Michael and Angie met with Destination America and agreed to film the show's sixth season. The sixth season began to air Tuesday evenings on the Destination America channel. There was a large audience eagerly anticipating and waiting for the return of the show. In the first episode of the sixth season, Angie and Michael had to deal with the harsh reality of being new parents.

Their baby was only four months old, and parenthood was already giving them problems. Since they are the bosses at the Full Throttle Saloon, they had their hands complete when their baby was born. Michael was stressed out at work because business was slow and couldn't come worse. The 75th anniversary of the Sturgis Rally was coming up because Michael was not ready. He was worried that he would no longer be a prominent figure in the scene. He was facing stiff competition from another bar that was close by. He had to come up with new ideas to draw people to the bar. Aggieland was put on hold because Angie just gave birth and was not in her top physical form anymore. Michael would have to wait for Angie to regain her shape, but that would take some time. He would have to generate new ideas to attract visitors or think of selling the bar.
