Background

Annabelle Frances Wallis was born on September 5, 1984. She grew up speaking English and Portuguese. As she studied in school, she additionally learned how to speak some French and Spanish. Her wide range of languages allowed her land diverse acting roles.

Career

In Portugal, Wallis completed a few short films before she moved to London to pursue a serious career in film. In London, she did a few commercials and investigated drama schools before eventually choosing to hire an acting agent.

In 2005, she handled a lead role in a Bollywood film known as "Dil Jo bhi Kahey". The film did not do well at the box office and lacked an audience.

In 2009, Wallis got her big break when she featured as Jane Seymour in season three of the Showtime drama series The Tudors. Besides her famous run on The Tudors, Wallis is also well known among TV audiences for her roles as Grace Burgess in the BBC gangster drama Peaky Blinders, Mia in the supernatural horror film Annabelle and as Jenny Halsey in the supernatural adventure film The Mummy.
