Arsène Wenger was born on 22 October 1949 in France. He was born to French residents Alphonse Wenger and Louis Wenger. He has two siblings and he's the youngest one of them. His father worked on the army for some time before opening his own business of auto parts. He started playing football at an early age of just 6 years old when his father introduced him to it. His father used to coach te village team in which he lived.
Wenger was a very bright student and won many accolades in his childhood. He started playing when the chairman of the team promoted him to play as he liked his vision. He started playing for the club Mitzig when he was 20 years old. He was thought to never become as good player as he lacked pace. He, however, started increasing his footballing knowledge in a way to balance his lack of skill.
He then became a student of economics and stopped football for a while. His football playing career didn't last long and he retried at an early age. He started his managerial career in 1984 at Nancy. Before that, however, he worked as an assistant coach at Cannes. He trained players according to the skills of opposition players. He was soon appointed as the coach of Nancy in 1984. At Nancy he worked very hard to keep the club in the Ligue 1 although the quality of layers was very poor. He was given very less money and also many good players were sold that made the club being relegated to the 2nd division. Wenger was offered a job at AS Monaco that he soon accepted. At Monaco he made a very good team and came third in his first season. He has always laid great emphasis on education.
He then left the club after some players were four of fixing the match. He went and joined the club Nagoya Grampus Eight that played in the J-League and took them to the cup glory after winning 17 games. He was at that point wanted by many big clubs such as Bayern Munich and Arsenal. He chose the latter and become Arsenal's coach in 1996. At first people in England were skeptical of him as many didn't known about him.
People feared that he might be not a good choice for the club. He however started on a very high not after signing Patrick Vieira from France. In his first season he helped the team to finish third in the league. The very next year he won the league as well as the FA cup to secure Arsenal's double and become the only foreign manager ot do so. He was now a very central figure in the english football. He went on to win another trophy the next year without losing any games for the whole of season. He helped the club to move to another new stadium now called the emirates stadium. Wenger is married to Annie prosperous and has two children with her wife. His salary is among the highest which makes his net worth to $50 million.
