Iranian American journalist and television presenter Asieh Namdar is someone who believes in defying stereotypes in journalism. Simply, she has spent her long career covering and anchoring diverse range of news from politics, natural disasters, contemporary issues, business, controversies and many more.

With her current job as an anchor (2014-present) at CCTV America, she thinks she can inspire to bring different views from the world, one newscast at a time. By doing so, she dreams to break negative stereotypes by bringing the views the news that they have never thought or imagined of.

Of course, CCTV America is the Americas division of the Beijing based 24-hours news channel CCTV News. So, it is likely to be biased in some sort of way. However, we can apply the same theory to American news channel as well like CNN and others.

The point is Asieh is someone with a proven track record. She enjoys 20 years worth of CNN experience, where she fulfilled many roles including anchor for CNNI, senior writer for HLN and  contributor to CNN.com.

In her more than 25 years of journalism career, she has covered many international stories such as "the disputed Iranian election", 2009's Iran election, typhoon Haiyan, 2009's Iran protests, the Middle East Conflict, the North Uganda civil war, Bam Earthquake, the Indian tsunami, the wars in Afghanistan and many more.

Born in 1971 in Karachi Pakistan, Asieh didn't enjoy a stable childhood, as she grew up in unstable Iran. Growing up in Iran was really difficult for Asieh. And, it became even more difficult for her to socialize with other kids in the United States later. And so to fight with unpopularity, loneliness and the language barrier in the land of dreams, she started spending most of her time doing her homework and study.

It was 1979 when Asieh moved to the land of dreams USA along with her parents following the 1979 Iranian revolution and the rest is history.

Clearly, Asieh is also a lucky personality. She is where she is now because of her ex-World Bank employee father and loving mother. Both of them are of Iranain origin. So, her ethnicity is also Iranian.

Unfortunately, her net worth is not known. However, we can also speculate that she enjoys an appreciable net worth given her prolonged career. Not only that, she is a communication graduate from the University of California. If you don't know, she started her career in 1989 taking up an entry level job. Initially, she wanted to be a writer. Later through lots of hard work, she achieved success in writing as HLN senior writer (2005-2013) and one after another she stepped up the CNN ladder (1998-2013, notable credentials - news anchor; started as video journalist) with a lot of drive and ambition.

Nevertheless, she is also known for her interviews, emphatic on-site coverage, plus excellent delivery, video production and story-telling skills. If you may, her notable interviews include  interviews with Nobel Peace-Prize Laureate Shirin Ebadi, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Jordan’s Queen Rania, Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, and best-selling author Azar Nafisi.

Now moving on to her physique, Asieh is not a tall woman with a short height which is speculated to be in the range of 5 feet and 3 inches to 5 feet and 4 inches. Nevertheless, her hairstyle is a medium length straight downdo (hair color- brown). Although her exact body measurements are not known, but from her pictures, we can easily speculate that she is someone who enjoys a slim and fit body (body shape- banana speculated). Impressively, she also possesses shapely breasts, endearing face and cheerful personality.

Talking about her relationship status, she is a married woman with two daughters, Leila and Roya. Furthermore, more details on her husband and how they met couldn't be traced. Moreover, the recent divorce rumors related to the couple are certainly hoaxes.
