Early days

When she was young, her parents moved to North Carolina. She met and started dating her future husband there, when he was a high school basketball star. They were completely in love, so the couple decided to attend the same university – Davidson College.

Marriage

Ayesha married Stephen Curry on July 30, 2011. It was a small wedding with only their closest family members and some of Stephen’s best friends from the Golden State Warriors. Due to Stephen’s harsh traveling schedule, she had to put her acting career on hold. She says she’s still interested in pursuing films in the future.

Children

The Curry’s first child was born on July 19, 2012. They named him Riley Curry. Becoming a mother was something that Ayesha always wanted, so she was really happy with the birth of their child. Riley ended up getting attention after doing post-game interviews with her father on national television, during the 2015 NBA finals. It was in that finals that Stephen won his first title, defeating LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavs. In 2015 their other child, Ryan Curry, was born.

Trivia

As an actress, she appeared on TV in Whittaker Bay, Love for Sale, Hannah Montana, Gary Unmarried, and Good Luck Charlie. Other than that, she started working on her website and YouTube channel Little Lights of Mine. She says her website is her “place to give thanks and share the people, places, and things that bring light into my life”. She blogs, posts recipes, fitness tips, and personal stories.

On her YouTube channel she vlogs about her everyday life and shares stories and recipes. She has over 400,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.

Twitter Drama

During the 2016 NBA finals, after the Cleveland Cavs won Game 6 to force a final match against the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry was removed from the game after committing a foul. Ayesha wasn’t happy about this decision, and leashed out on Twitter. She tweeted “I’ve lost all respect sorry this is absolutely rigged for money… Or ratings in not sure which. I won’t be silent . Just saw it live sry”. It was one of her many controversial tweets.

After the Cavaliers won, she tweeted “proud of our men” and was mercilessly mocked on Twitter for it. Memes included LeBron James edited into Curry family pictures and yet more creative uses of the crying Michael Jordan meme.

Book

Just recently, Ayesha released, for pre-purchase, her own book: “The Seasoned Life: Food, Family, Faith, and the Joy of Eating Well”. In her book she shares 100 of her favorite recipes and invite readers into the home she has made with her two daughters and her husband Stephen Curry. She says “this book has something for everybody”. It will be officially released on September 20, 2016.
