Early Life

His parents name are Sonya (Adams) and Dell Curry. His father Dell Curry himself was a member of Cleveland Cavaliers. He had spent his childhood mostly in Charlotte, which comes under North Carolina as his father has spent major part of his career along with Charlotte Hornets. Dell use to take both the kids, Stepehen and Seth during the practice sessions. For a brief period of time their family shifted to Toranto, Ontario, as in the end of his career Dell was a member of Toronto Raptors. After retirement of his father Dell, their family moved back to Charlotte. Stephen attended Charlotte Christian School there and later on he selected Davidson College.

Career

During his college time, he played basketball and started his freshman season. He bagged the title of second freshman in all over the nation in scoring. During his sophomore season, he also displayed excellent skills of game. In 2009 he created a record for NCAA division I scoring leader. In Davidson College he held the records for All Time Leading Scorer in college History. In 2009 Curry was picked up by 2009 NBA draft by The Golden State Warriors. Although the span of his professional career is not much, still in his short duration he has won many awards. He held the title of NBA Champion for the year 2015. He has won NBA most Valuable Player award for two consecutive years i.e., 205 and 2016. He also has bagged three times continuously NBA All Star position from 2014 to 2016.

National Team Career

Stephen had his first experience at 2007 FIBA Under- 19 World Championship with the national team of United States. His wonderful performance during the match helped the team USA to grab silver Medal. During 2010, he was chosen as the senior squad to play restricted minutes at the 200 FIBA World Championship (also known as FIBA Basketball World Cup). In 2014,he lead the team unbeatable tournament match at the 2014 World Cup.

Personal life

Stephen has married his long time Toronto based girlfriend Ayesha Alexander on July 30, 2011 in Charlotte and made her his wife. The couple has two lovely children, both are daughters named Ryan Carson Curry and Riley Curry. His first daughter Riley was born on 2012, while Ryan was born in 2015. Stephen along with his wife and daughters currently reside in Walnut Creek, California. Curry has two siblings, his younger brother Seth is also a well known basketball player and his younger sister Sydel, is volleyball player at Elon University. Stephen shares a lovely and understanding relationship with his wife and has not had any divorce.
