International Career with Germany

Bastian Schweinsteiger began his international career in 2004 and went on to earn 121 caps and score 24 goals for the German national team, making him the fourth most capped player in the country’s history. Following Philipp Lahm’s retirement in 2014, Schweinsteiger was appointed team captain and continued in that role until his retirement from international football in 2016.
