Brad Allen is an Australian martial artist, stunt choreographer, and actor who was born on February 14, 1973, in Melbourne, Australia. He grew up with an interest in martial arts and began boxing and karate when he was just ten-years-old. Allen studied martial arts under the Beijing Wushu Team members Liang Chang-xing and Tang Lai-Wei. He also studied other martial arts such as Aikido, Hapkido, Taekwondo, Wing Chun, and Kickboxing. Allen attended the Shanghai Institute of Sport and learned Mandarin. He made his film debut in 1993, in an unofficial sequel film called "Drunken Master III". In November of 1997, Allen competed in the 4th World Wushu Championships on the Australian team in Rome. When Jackie Chan was filming "Mr. Nice Guy" in Australia, Allen knew some of the crew who invited him to demonstrate his martial arts style for the film's director, Cho Wing.
He impressed Wing and he signed Allen for a role in Chan's next action film "Who Am I?" in 1998. Allen went on to become a member Chan's own stunt team in the 2000s which was a major progression for his career. He went on to appear in major Hollywood films "The Chronicles of Riddick", "Hellboy II: The Golden Army", and "Hellboy".
