Born on November 23, 1998, in Thousand Oaks, California, Bradley Steven Perry is the youngest child of Emery Emanuel and Brenda Joyce. He grew up in Southern California alongside his three older sisters: Madison, Makenzie, and Justine. As a child actor, Perry was homeschooled to accommodate his acting schedule.

In 2009, Perry appeared in a series of films that helped establish his acting credentials. He played supporting roles in Old Dogs as a soccer kid, Who Shot Mamba? as David, and Opposite Day as Security Guard 39. That same year, he portrayed a younger version of Don Ready in The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard and provided the voice of Young John Skillpa in the psychological thriller Peacock (2010).
