Background

Brian Axel Hoyer was born on October 13, 1985. Hoyer went to classes at Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a strong student athlete who played both football and baseball for the Wildcats. On his varsity baseball team, Hoyer played multiple positions like pitcher, infielder, and outfielder. As a sophomore, he compiled an 8–1 record with a 1.99 ERA in 2002.

Career

For his college football career, Brian played college football at Michigan State.

Brian is considered to be a journeyman quarterback because of the amount of teams he has been a member of. Hoyer has played for teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Chicago Bears, and San Francisco 49ers.

Hoyer has had two different stints with the elite Patriots. Initially, he was signed by the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2009. Eight years later, he returned to his original team in 2017. Hoyer made a three year deal to return to the Patriots to be the backup to the great player, Tom Brady. The return was a good choice because Hoyer won Super Bowl LIII with the Patriots.
