Brittany Bowe biography, education

Brittany Bowe is an American speed skater, former inline skater, and basketball player who was born on February 24, 1988, in Ocala, Florida. Bowe got into several sports as a young child which included basketball and soccer. At the young age of two, Bowe would show off her dribbling skills as part of the halftime show at college basketball games. She started off in soccer where she made it to a statewide under-13 boys travel team but she soon gave up soccer in favor of basketball.

Bowe graduated from Trinity Catholic High School before attending Florida Atlantic University in Boca Rotan. She played basketball for the university's team, the Florida Atlantic Owls. She graduated with a major in sociology and social science in 2010. Bowe eventually turned her sights toward inline speedskating. She holds over ten medals from the world inline speedskating championships including eight gold, one silver, and two bronze medals. Bowe specialized in the 500, 1000 and 1500 meters.
