She has two sisters and graduated in 2006 from Yale University with a degree in history. Her father is one of three Dartmouth lawyers who founded Power Line, an American political blog. Eliana Johnson worked for the National Review magazine where she was promoted from media editor to the position of Washington Editor in August of 2014.
Before working at the National Review, Johnson worked as a producer for Fox News as a research associate at the Council on Foreign Relations. She worked on Sean Hannity's television program "Hannity" as a producer during her time at Fox News. She also worked as a staff reporter at The New York Sun.
