Brooke Mackenzie Henderson was born on September 10, 1997. Brooke was born and brought up in Smiths Falls, Ontario. Henderson learned how to play the game of golf from an early age at the Smiths Falls Golf and Country Club. She benefited from the fact that her parents are both experienced players. The golf gene runs in her family as her uncle Tom Henderson competed for many years at the top amateur competitions in the Ottawa area.

Career

The young golf superstar won her first major at the age of 18 in 2016 at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. When she won, she ended up becoming the event's youngest winner. Not only did the win make history, it also played a part in moving her to second in the world rankings.

In possession of seven LPGA wins, Henderson is second only to Sandra Post among Canadians with LPGA victories. She trails Post’s top number of 8 wins but is gunning for the top spot as she gets better each day.
