As her biography reveals, Brooke suffered from Scoliosis, which kept her from pursuing a career in Ballet. Before the diagnosis of Scoliosis, Brooke practiced & studied at Joffrey Ballet School & New English Ballet School, Boston Ballet & even went to France. Owing to Scoliosis, she had to wear a back brace during the entire 9th grade. As the pain & suffering became unbearable, she ultimately had to undergo surgery to correct her spine. After her highschool, she took admission at the prestigious Yale University for her bachelors in English Literature. At the University, being a Freshman, she founded the Connecticut Scoliosis Association, a group of people with similar conditions or concern to share the platform. It was here that she penned her famous book Ascending The Curve which is based on her experiences with the disease. She was also a member of the Arts & Letters Manuscript Society.

Upon graduation, Brooke was fascinated with the world of acting & wanted to try her talents in the art. She got her first role in a play called Rumors by Neil Simon. She was also seen in The Maids & Heartbreak House. To further polish her acting skills, she enrolled for training in acting at The Groundings in L.A. After a couple of years, Brooke began to get significant roles in TV shows starting in 2004’s American Dreams. Later in 2005, she appeared as Erica in The Trap. She also acted in the thriller Dark Reel (2008). Her adorable acting skills were praised, and she was cast in series like That’s So Raven, The Starter Wife & The Desperate Housewives. She went on to linger in the TV circuit with shows like Law & Order: LA, Love Bites, The Crazy Ones, Psych, Anger Management, Deadbeat, Mulaney, The Exes, iZombie, Royal Pains, The Affair & Grandfathered. Her notable appearances & recurring roles were in 2 Broke Girls as Peach Mandis, as Gwen in 2 & a half men & as Birdie in Jane By Design. She has been successful on the TV circuit with over 20 shows to her name than in movies.

Brooke is also a Freelance writer & is married to Max Osswald, a film producer. She is an avid social media user & is pretty active on the Social Media/Photo Sharing site Instagram with her handle as @brookielyons. It was on Social Media & Instagram that she posted pictures of her wedding with Max Osswald. With 5’8’ in height, Brooke co-starred in Max’s production namely To Sonnets, a short film & A Deadly Adoption, a TV Film. In the L.A. Circuit where marriages are not seen to last, Brooke has candidly disclosed on her Instagram that even after 2 years of marriage, she is still pretty much in love with her husband, Max.
