Cameron Boyce was born in 1999 in Los Angeles, California. He was raised alongside his younger sister, Maya Boyce, by his parents, Victor and Libby Boyce. His father is of African-American descent, and his mother is of Jewish heritage. Growing up in a supportive and artistic household, Cameron developed a passion for performing at a young age. Cameron made his film debut at the age of nine in the 2008 horror movie Mirrors. That same year, he appeared in the music video for Panic!
