Acting Career Beginnings

Thomson began her acting career at the age of 11, initially appearing in commercials and working as a print model for various catalogs, magazines, and Disney products. She soon transitioned into acting roles, making guest appearances on notable primetime television series such as Without a Trace, House M.D., and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

In 2008, she took on the role of Deb Rogers in the independent family film Cop Dog and portrayed Tory in the TV movie Our First Christmas. The following year, she appeared in a few episodes of the medical drama series Hawthorne.

Expansion into Music and Collaboration with Andrew Lane

In addition to acting, Cassi Thomson pursued a music career beginning in 2008. She collaborated with music producer Andrew Lane while working on her debut album. Her first music video, featuring the single "Caught Up In You" and actor Taylor Lautner, was released the same year. Her self-titled debut album, Cassi Thomson, was released in 2015, with six tracks available on iTunes.

Notable Television and Film Roles

Between 2009 and 2011, Thomson was featured in the critically acclaimed HBO series Big Love, where she played Cara Lynn, the daughter of Bill Paxton’s character. She joined the cast at the end of Season 3 at the age of 15 and became a series regular in Season 4, remaining on the show until its conclusion. In 2011, she also portrayed Cara Lynn in a companion webisode of Margene’s Blog.

From 2012 to 2014, Thomson held a recurring role as Nikki Papagus in the ABC Family series Switched at Birth, an award-winning drama exploring switched identities and deaf culture. She also appeared in several television films and indie projects, including Rock the House and Teenage Bank Heist.
