Cassidy Hubbarth was born on September 19, 1984, in Chicago, Illinois, United States. She is the daughter of Gerry Hubbarth and Emmeline Hubbarth and is the youngest of four siblings. Cassidy is of mixed heritage—of Irish and German descent on her father's side and Filipino descent on her mother's side. A lifelong supporter of the Chicago Bulls, she has carved a significant presence in sports journalism as an Emmy-winning sports anchor.
Cassidy attended Evanston Township High School in Evanston, Illinois, where she actively participated in athletics. During her high school years, she played on the school's soccer team and was part of the squad that won the 2002 state championship. She graduated from high school in 2003.
