Catalina Jane Guirado, born on January 1, 1974, in Auckland, New Zealand, began her modeling career at the young age of 15. She is the daughter of internationally acclaimed Spanish surrealist-essentialist artist Juan Antonio Guirado and English mother Audrey Ballard.
Guirado graced the runway for several esteemed fashion designers, including Vivienne Westwood, Scott Henshall, Michiko Koshino, and Rifat Ozbek. Her striking presence and versatile look made her a favorite in the fashion industry.
Following her success on the runway, Guirado was featured in top fashion and lifestyle publications such as Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Maxim, Loaded, and FHM. Standing at 5’10”, she became a sought-after cover girl and secured endorsement deals with major brands including Wella, Charro Jeans, Toni & Guy, L'Oréal, and Lynx men's body spray.
Before achieving fame in fashion and television, Guirado demonstrated exceptional musical talent, particularly as a violinist. As a child, she performed at prominent venues such as the Royal Festival Hall and London’s Royal Albert Hall. Her passion for music led her to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, enhancing her artistic foundation.
Guirado gained widespread recognition through her appearances on the popular TV series TFI Friday, which catapulted her to "It Girl" status in London.
