Early Life and Modeling Career

Catalina Jane Guirado, born on January 1, 1974, in Auckland, New Zealand, began her modeling career at the young age of 15. She is the daughter of internationally acclaimed Spanish surrealist-essentialist artist Juan Antonio Guirado and English mother Audrey Ballard.

Guirado graced the runway for several esteemed fashion designers, including Vivienne Westwood, Scott Henshall, Michiko Koshino, and Rifat Ozbek. Her striking presence and versatile look made her a favorite in the fashion industry.

Following her success on the runway, Guirado was featured in top fashion and lifestyle publications such as Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Maxim, Loaded, and FHM. Before achieving fame in fashion and television, Guirado demonstrated exceptional musical talent, particularly as a violinist. Her passion for music led her to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, enhancing her artistic foundation.

She founded the Juan Antonio Guirado Foundation in honor of her late father and launched Guirado Design in London in 2013. Her first collection featured luxury silk scarves, premium fabrics, and bespoke wallpapers, blending her artistic heritage with contemporary design.
