According to a December, 2006, New York Times article, Boreanaz grew angry about playground bullying when he was young, and went on to become offensive end and defensive back for his Catholic high school football team. As a kid, he was a ball boy for the Pittsburgh Steelers and had an opportunity to train with Jack Lambert. Fortunately for his fans, he decided to become an actor rather than a professional athlete. He was on the school’s football team and an athlete in college. He is an ardent follower of Hockey. After graduating from Ithaca College in cinema and photography David moved to Hollywood, California to pursue an acting career.

Before becoming an actor Boreanaz worked as a parking attendant and a house painter. He handed out towels in a sports club, and was a props department assistant. David’s introduction to the Hollywood acting scene had and interesting start as he revealed during an interview for Smoke Magazine in 2006:  “I was walking my dog and a talent scout saw me on the street. Then from there, I got my manager, which led to me getting my first acting jobs. ... He was trying to pick me up. It was a guy, he was homosexual. You know, he knew off the bat when he met me that I was very into females, so he knew he was going to strike out on that one. But I did some research and saw he was a reputable guy. So, yeah, walking my dog kind of led me to acting.”

David started his career in 1993 with a small role in the American sitcom titled Married with Children. He has worked in many movies, television series and performed in a music video. Boreanaz also directed some episodes of Bones and also was a producer of the same television series in its third season. He has also done the voiceover work for two video games.

According to CBS David Boreanez and his new cast of characters on the television show Seal Team are going to be suiting up for a few more episodes. CBS announced Wednesday that it's giving a full season order to SEAL Team, the military drama starring Boreanaz. David plays as Jason Hayes, the head of a Tier 1 operator military team. Team Seal follows Jason and the other brave men and women he goes into battle with through the deadliest missions on the planet. Then the show goes on to reveal how they deal with maintaining their regular lifestyles once they are back home on American soil.

David Boreanaz had a couple of different relationships before marriage and even after being married. Catalina Guirado was one of the women he dated early on and he had a long-distance relationship with her. After breaking up with Catalina (for unknown reasons), he dated Ingrid Quinn to whom he was married for 2 years – 1997-1999. Rumors were he dated Sarah Michelle Gellar, his co-actor in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer during the same time period. He separated with Ingrid Quinn in 1999.

David met Jaime Bergman at a Valentine’s Day party in the year 2000. After dating for a while, the couple announced their engagement in August 2001. The couple got married after a few months after their engagement on the 24th of November in the year 2001. They now have two kids – a pretty daughter and a handsome son.
