After retiring from acting, Cherie wasn’t content with just sitting at home and enjoying her riches. She wanted to give back to the community and wanted to combine her wish with her passion for food, “It’s official. I’m a restaurateur! One of my reasons for coming to Houston (TX) is to go in and give a neighborhood that is underserved the opportunity to have what every other neighborhood has as well as create employment opportunities for the neighborhood. It’s called Datt’s It! In a couple of months from now, we are going to open a boutique next door.”
Cherie hopes that the restaurant business will finally allow her to settle down and focus on her relationships. She has been in too many broken relationships because her head was never completely in the moment. She was always worried about an audition or feedback from a recent movie that she did. She didn’t have enough time to fully focus on the relationship but she now has that luxury because she has a more balanced lifestyle.
