Chris Webbers was born on March the 1st of 1973. Native from Detroit, Michigan in the United States of America. His birth name Mayce Edward Christopher Webber III. He is the son of Mayce Webber Jr. and Doris Webber and has one brother, David Webber. He is a professional basketball player.

Education

He grew up in the city of Beverly Hills in Michigan. There he studied in the Detroit Country Day School. During his time there he was given a scholarship. Thanks to that he was able to help his team get three Michigan High School Athletic Association State championships. He finished high school having had gained some recognition. He was given The Naismith Prep Player of the Year award and received the name Mr Basketball. Sadly, the award was vacated because of the University of Michigan basketball scandal. After that he enrolled in the University of Michigan; there he attended for two years.

During that time he played in the Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team, which was the College’s official team. With them he was able to reach the National Collegiate Athletic Association championship not once, but twice. Along with him in that team he shared floor with other big names like Ray Jackson, Juwan Antonio Howard, Jalen Anthony Rose, and Jimmy Hal King. Together they formed the famed Fab Five of the University of Michigan.

Career

He was drafted by the Orlando Magic in 1993. He was swiftly traded from there to the Golden State Warriors. During his first year with them he earned the National Basketball Association's Rookie of the Year Award. In the post season of 1994 he could had played as a power forward, but his relationship with the team’s coach, Donald Arvid Nelson, was irreparable. He took advantage of a one year escape clause in his contract and was later traded to the Washington Bullets.

His first season there was cutted shorted because he suffered injuries. But got much better in 1997 when he lead his team into the playoffs. In the end, they lost against the Chicago Bulls. The following year he was traded once again, that time to the Sacramento Kings. During his time there he almost got the team into the National Basketball Association Finals. In the following season, he peaked at a career-high 27.1 of points. During the Playoffs of that same year they won against the Phoenix Suns.

It was also in that year that he signed a contract for $127 million that lasted for seven years. He helped the team to the Pacific Division. He made a All-Star team for the fourth time and the All-NBA Second Team. During the season of 2002, the Sacramento Kings defeated the Utah Jazz and the Dallas Mavericks. By 2003 his luck went down as he sprained his ankle and lost the All Star game. He had a microfracture surgery after which he returned to the field.

By 2005 he was transferred to the Philadelphia 76ers. While in there he helped the team to move forward in the 2005 Playoffs. Even if they eventually ended up losing against the Detroit Pistons. Team for which he started playing in 2007. He lasted there just one season and then returned to the Golden State Warriors. He played there until his retirement.

After retiring he started to work in tv shows as he became an analyst in NBA Gametime Live. His net worth is currently of $80 million
