Christie Brinkley was born on Feb 2, 1954, in Michigan, USA. When she was a kid her parents went through a divorce and her mother later married Don Brinkley from whom she got her surname. She was into acting and modeling from a very young age doing stage performances at schools and parties. She was later discovered by a photographer in 1973 who introduced him to a modeling company and that's how her career took off. At first, she was given 3 ad shoots to her name and later she was given a contract for 25 years by CoverGirl making it the longest contract for any model and given the fact that models don't work for that long this was a very big deal and till today it hasn't been broken.
Brinkley started getting fame from the word get go. She was on the cover of Sports Illustrated for three consecutive years 1979, 1980, and 1981. In 2005 she was inducted into the Sports illustrated hall of fame which is a collection of the most beautiful personalities. The couple separated in 1994 but still remain friends to this day. In 1994 while still being married to Billy Joel she married Richard Taubman and announced that they were expecting a child. This marriage ended in less than a year in 1995 with one child Jack Paris Taubman.
Her fourth marriage was with a man younger than her named Peter Halsey Cook. They married in 1996 and officially ended their marriage in 2008. This divorce, however, was messier than all the previous ones as her husband was charged with adultery with an 18-year-old girl. For this divorce, Brinkley had to give $2.1 million to her spouse to grant her the custody of their 2 children. This divorce case took to long but was finalized in 2008.
At an age of 62, Brinkley currently lives, a happy life in New York. She lives there with her children in a home only island her net worth is estimated to be around $80 million.
