This streak of athletic success led to several scholarship offers. He chose to join King College in Bristol, Tennessee, where he did his major in Child Psychology.
Despite the fact that he desired an NBA career, this was not meant to be his destiny. A foot injury during his participation in the NBA Summer Pro League turned his career compass in a different direction. He still was able to play for the Hollywood Knights celebrity basketball team and has had some roles to show his skills on the court as an actor.

In 2013, Cylk became the CEO, Co-Chairman, and Co-Founder of Cure4Hunger.org which has the mission to cure hunger on a global scale integrating technology into a sustainable solution. The investigation has shown amazing results. They claim to feed 58,000 people with only 1 acre of Cure4Hunger Food and Water Domes.
