Daniel Castellaneta is known as an American actor, voice actor, comedian and screenwriter. He is most famous for his long-running role as the iconic cartoon character, Homer Simpson on the Fox animated sitcom, The Simpsons.

Daniel Louis "Dan" Castellaneta was born on October 29, 1957. Growing up as a local of Chicago, Castellaneta graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School. He then went on to college and graduated from Northern Illinois University.

Career

After college, Dan proceeded to work and perform at Chicago's Second City, which he later reviewed on Inside the Actors Studio as a spot that will prepare you on the best way to be clever while going out to network and socialize.

Along with being the famous voice of Homer Simpson, Dan provides the voices for many other repeating characters on The Simpsons including Abraham Simpson, Barney Gumble, Krusty the Clown and Sideshow Mel.

He has the record for most characters with more than 20 characters voiced by him.

Personal Life

Dan is married to a writer named Deb Lacusta. Dan claims that he never discusses the Simpsons at home but admits that on a few occasions that if his significant other is making lunch he may make comments in the tone of Homer.
