About Kristina

Kristian was born in September the 5th in 1963. Her birth name is Kristian Joy Alfonso. Her hometown is Brockton, Massachusetts in the United States of America. Her father’s name is Gino Alfonso and her mother’s name is Joanna. She has an Italian heritage. Her endowment comes from both sets of grandparents, coming ones from Calabria and the others from Sicilia.

In 1986 she married Simon Macaulay, whom she divorced thirteen years later. It was after another two years, that she got engaged once more, this time with Danny Daggenhurst. The following section of this article covers the biography of this famous actress.

The Figure Skater

For a while Kristina was a dancer and apart from that, famous figure skate. In fact, she was good enough as to have participated at the age of thirteen in the Junior Olympic Games. She even won a silver medal in the figure skating category. Her figure skating career was cut short when she had a sledding accident that caused an injury. Said injury also ended her dancing career.

The Model

She participated in Talent America, a talent show. That turned to be her first modelling experience. It was some time before the sledding accident occurred that she was approached by a modelling agency called Wilhelmina. At the moment she was much more preoccupied with her skating career and so she refused their offer of modelling for them. It was after having to stop figure skating at the age of fifteen that she started to model for them. After signing a contract with Wilhelmina Models, or as it is known today Wilhelmina International Incorporated, she posed for many magazines from all around the world, among those they were Bazaar and Vogue.

The Actress

It was in 1981, that she had her on screen debut in the movie The Starmaker. This was a made for television, film directed by Lou Antonio. She played a minor role. Two years later, she started to work in Days of Our Lives. She played Hope Brady during the four years that she worked at the National Broadcasting Company’s soap opera. She left that series, returning for only a few months in 1990. Returning again four years later, but only as a lookalike. Her reason for leaving in the first place was so that she could participate on another series, Falcon Crest. This soap opera was produced by the Columbia Broadcasting System. Her big screen debut was in 1993 with her participation in Joshua Tree. The movie, also known as Army of One and Vanishing Red, was directed by Vic Armstrong.

Awards

Danny Daggenhurst ’s wife is a widely recognised and accomplished actress. Her first award was in 1984 with the Soap Opera Digest, giving her the Female Newcomer Award. The same association gave her the Hottest Female Star Award fifteen years later. Then again in 2001 received another award along with fellow cast member Peter Reckell this time for Favourite Couple.
