Previously, Daphne was in a seemingly loving relationship with the infamous singer and rap artist 50 Cent for three years, and together they have a three year old son Sire Jackson. They reportedly broke up in 2013.

It is said that Daphne and 50 Cent had a strong relationship. Reports suggest that this is the reason why 50 Cent was more visible on various media with Daphne than any of his past relationships. However, their reportedly fairy-tale relationship eventually came to an end after reports of domestic violence surfaced.

The rapper and artist stood before a judge in mid-2013, pleading not guilty to the domestic violence and a vandalism charge.  There were five criminal counts in total: one count of misdemeanor domestic violence and four counts of misdemeanor vandalism that caused $71,00 in damages against him. In all of these cases, the victim and accuser was Daphne Joy.

However, 50 Cent managed to avoid jail sentence in the proceedings after pleading not guilty in domestic violence charge. Despite this, he couldn't avoid 3 years of probation, 30 days of community service and also the requirement of attending counseling sessions, along with a payment of $7,100 in restitution to Daphne.

Shortly after the court proceedings had ended, 50 Cent posted a cartoon to his Twitter.  In the picture, a stick-figure girl says "Stop! That's nothing to play with", and the stick-boy carrying the stick-girl's red heart by his hand is depicted as saying "Shut up, you a hoe anyway".

On the other hand, Daphne has adopted a lip-zip strategy on the whole saga, preferring to stay quiet on the matter.

Prior to this, there was a video circulating the internet that showed 50 Cent appearing to become upset when Daphne makes a surprise entrance behind his back during an interview he was doing. This video was allegedly taken before they came out publicly as a couple, and has since been pulled off from the internet entirely.  It provided very convincing evidence of the then-couple's strategy to keep their relation extremely secretive.

Despite the incident involving domestic violence, we now have been getting reports that they are now on mostly amicable terms and are raising their child mutually.
