Devon Aoki is an American actress and fashion model who was born on August 10, 1982, in New York City, New York, in the United States. She was born to her father, a former Olympic wrestler and Benihana restaurant owner named Rocky Aoki, and her mother, Pamela Hillburger who worked as a jewelry designer. Aoki spent her early years growing up with an older sister and a younger brother in California. She went on to attend The American School in London. Her modeling career began when she was 13-years-old and her runway debut came in 1997 when she walked for fashion brands such as Balenciaga, Comme des Garcons and Chanel. When she was just 16, Aoki became the face of Versace replacing Naomi Campbell as the brand's leading model. She went on to appear in runway walks for Versace, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenberg, Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs, and many more. Aoki has also appeared on numerous fashion magazines including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, i-D, Russh, 10 Magazine Australia, and more.
She even designed a line of jeans for Levi's Asian market in 2007. She returned to the runway in 2017 for Moschino's fashion show.
