Donatella Versace is known as an Italian fashion designer and current vice president of the Versace Group, she is also the chief designer of her brand.
Background
She was born on May 2, 1955 in the Italian city of Reggio di Calabria. She was the youngest of four children. Her father was a personal financial advisor for the Italian aristocracy. Her older sister, Tina, passed on at twelve years old from an inappropriately treated lockjaw infection.
Career
Donatella's brother, Gianni Versace, launched a perfume dedicated to her, Blonde in the 1980s. He also gave her own fragrance label, Versus, which Gianni previously ran for her. After Gianni's passing, Donatella assumed control over all parts of the brand. Her other brother, Santo Versace claims 30 percent of Versace stock.
Personal Life
Versace and her former spouse, American model Paul Beck have two children together. They have a daughter named Allegra Versace Beck and a son named Daniel Versace.
Her brother Gianni Versace was killed on 15 July 1997, outside the re-built Casa Casuarina, otherwise called Versace Mansion, in Miami, Florida. In the result of the murder and manhunt, the greater part of the Versace family, including Donatella, moved briefly to a disconnected private hotel in the Caribbean.
