Adam G. Sevani was born in 1992 and is an American actor and dancer. He is of Italian and Armenian descent and was raised in Los Angeles, California. From a young age, Sevani developed a passion for dance, training at the Synthesis Dance Center—a studio founded by his family. He has an older brother, Vahe Sevani (also known as V Sevani), who was a member of the boy band NLT.
Sevani gained national recognition for his role as Robert "Moose" Alexander III in the Step Up film franchise. He made his debut in "Step Up 2: The Streets," the second installment of the series produced by Touchstone Pictures. The film followed a group of street dancers competing in underground battles and was noted for its high-energy choreography. Sevani's performance as Moose, a quirky and endearing dance prodigy, was praised by critics. The New York Times highlighted him as a standout, calling his character "the baddest nerd in movie history." Despite receiving mixed reviews overall, the film grossed over $150 million worldwide. His scene-stealing role earned him the 2008 Young Hollywood Award for Best Scene Stealer.
Following the success of "Step Up 2," it was confirmed that Sevani would reprise his role in later entries of the franchise. He appeared in "Step Up 3D," which was filmed in New York City with a production budget of $30 million. The storyline followed Moose and his friend Camille as they navigated college life and became involved in underground dance competitions. Sevani returned again for "Step Up Revolution" and "Step Up: All In," solidifying his place as one of the series’ most beloved characters.
Outside of the Step Up series, Sevani starred in the American remake of the French film "LOL (Laughing Out Loud)," alongside Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore, and Ashley Greene. The movie focused on the life of a high school student navigating friendships and romance. However, "LOL" had a limited theatrical release in the United States and received largely negative reviews from critics.
Beyond acting, Sevani has appeared in various music videos. His credits include appearances in Mase’s “Breathe, Stretch, Shake,” Will Smith’s “Switch,” and T-Pain’s “Church.” He also choreographed the video for NLT’s “Karma.” In 2006, he performed as a backup dancer for Kevin Federline during the Teen Choice Awards.
Sevani collaborated with director Jon M. Chu to form a dance crew known for celebrity cameos and viral dance battles. In 2008, he participated in a special “Thriller” tribute video for Halloween. Though he is not active on Facebook or Twitter, Sevani connects with fans through his YouTube channel, SevaniTube, where viewers can watch his performances, interviews, and original content.
