Ainsley Earhardt is known as an American broadcast journalist. She is most famous for being the co-host of Fox & Friends on the Fox News channel.
Ainsley Hayden Earhardt was born on September 20, 1976 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Her family relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina and lived in the Foxcroft area after Ainsley was born. Her educational studies started when her parents enrolled her into Sharon Elementary School. This elementary school was also attended by famous people like Anna Kooiman and Heather Childers. These two would also become on-air correspondents for Fox News. While in Sharon Elementary School, she and her family relocated again, but this time it was to Columbia, South Carolina.
Ainsley graduated in 1995 from Spring Valley High School. While on an academic scholarship program, she attended Florida State University and majored in biology. She was part of the Student Government and served as a Senator while at Florida State. She was dead set on pursuing journalism as a career so she transferred from Florida State University to the University of South Carolina. After her graduation from the University of South Carolina, she was awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 1999.
During her college years, she was part of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority at Florida State University and Beta Epsilon sorority at the University of Carolina. As a result of her leadership, character, and personality, she was awarded the Caroliniana Creed Award and she was also selected as part of the University of Carolina’s Homecoming Court.
Ainsley got married to Kelvin Mckinney in 2005 but it was only a few years that the marriage lasted. They got separated in 2009 because of issues that had to do with their personal lives. She didn’t dwell on the divorce as she went on to find love again and got married to another man in 2012.
She married Will Proctor, a former professional National football player five years after she divorced her first husband. Unlike her first marriage, this one has been strong and going on for eight years.

Ainsley Earhardt started out as a reporter for WLTX-News 19 in Columbia, South Carolina. She got the job as a result of her being at the top of her class while in college. Between 2000 and 2004, her program was rated number one. She was the anchor during the morning and afternoon segments. South Carolina Middle School students raised almost half of a million dollars for firefighters after the September 11 terrorist attacks and Ainsley went with them to New York to cover the event. That money was used to replace the fire truck that was destroyed at the World Trade Center.
Other big stories she covered was the earthquake in China and the deepwater horizon oil leak. She relocated to San Antonio in 2005. She was the newscaster for KENS-TV and her two programs were also rated as the number one show. She did the Eyewitness News segment in the morning and she also did the one at Noon.
During her time reporting for local news, she was selected by the viewers of the Metropolitan Magazine as the Personality of the Year. After this, she was the receiver of another award from the University of South Carolina for the Young Alumni Award in 2007. Another award came her way from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She was awarded the honor of Outstanding Young Alumni.
Most Fox News fans live in the South and Midwest so they have conservative values. Ainsley is a perfect fit for Fox News because she embodies their views. She is a devoted Christian that tries to hit on the same buzz words that President Trump does. They both cater to the same audience so she carefully pays attention to what works for Trump when he addresses the conservative audience.
In a 2017 interview with the Business Insider publication, she described why she is fond of her conservative roots, "I've had discussions with my friends who are New Yorkers here that see things differently than I do and sometimes that makes for awkward conversation at the dinner table. I did grow up in a southern Christian background and I have friends from all walks of life, but I will never forget from where I came."
Some of her critics argue that Fox News only puts her on TV to appease the men who want a pretty face to report the news to them. They feel she is only where she’s at because of her pretty looks and not because of actual talent. When asked about her negative perception, she was very self-aware, “I enjoy makeup and having someone who does my hair. What female wouldn’t? But I want that little girl to see it is hard work, it is being kind, it is knowing who you are. It’s taken me a long time to get here. I think they see a Southern blonde. I hear ‘Barbie’. Honestly, I just love my life. I have my dream job. I have this wonderful schedule where I work full-time and also get to be a full-time mom. All I really worry about is my little world. I do want everyone to be happy and safe. I want to contribute. But I try not to focus too much on the negative.”
