Alex Borstein is known as an American actress, writer, and comedian. She is most famous for playing Lois Griffin on the animated series Family Guy.
Alexandrea Borstein was born on February 15, 1971 in Highland Park, Illinois. Her father Irv Borstein and her mom Judy Borstein both work in the mental health field. She grew up with two senior siblings. She went to San Francisco State University and then went on to study improv at the ACME Comedy Theater.
Alex started her career working on the animated series Casper and Pinky and the Brain in the mid 1990s. She in the blink of an eye left her job at an advertisement office where she wrote print promotions for Barbie to turn into a full-time writer. In 1996, she worked on the show Power Rangers Zeo as the voice of Queen Machina. In 1997, she joined the cast of MADtv and appeared in different characters until 2009.
