Personal Life
Mitchell was married to Gil Jackson and the relationship ended in 1970’s. She is now married to Alan Greenspan who was the Chairman of the former Federal Reserve Board. She dated Alan for over a year and finally tied the knot in 1997 when she was in her 50s. She is 20 years younger than Greenspan, but the couple have a successful married life. After about 30 years of togetherness, there are talks that the couple is planning for a divorce. Sources have stated that Mitchell wants to have children and is planning of adoption while Greenspan is against the idea. She had faced breast cancer in the year 2011 and fought it out rather boldly as it was diagnosed in the early stage and treated effectively. With a net worth of over $5 million and an annual salary of $750,000 she is independent enough to adopt a child as a single mother.
