Ashley Spencer Argota was born on January 9, 1993, in California, to Filipino parents. She completed her high school education through Connections Academy, a virtual high school. Argota began showcasing her talent at an early age, participating as a contestant on the CBS talent competition Star Search in 2003, where she was a semifinalist.
