Ashley Spencer Argota was born on January 9, 1993, in California, to Filipino parents. She completed her high school education through Connections Academy, a virtual high school. Argota began showcasing her talent at an early age, participating as a contestant on the CBS talent competition Star Search in 2003, where she was a semifinalist. Her strong stage presence impressed judges, with Ben Stein notably praising her performance as one of the best among young artists.

Television Breakthrough and Nickelodeon Fame

Ashley Argota is best known for her roles in popular Nickelodeon television shows. From 2008 to 2011, she starred as Lulu on the sitcom True Jackson, VP, gaining widespread recognition among young audiences. She later co-starred as Kelly Peckinpaugh in Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures, also on Nickelodeon. Though the latter series was eventually canceled, it further established her presence on youth-focused television networks.

She also appeared on Nickelodeon's game show BrainSurge, participating in celebrity episodes and winning a competition in 2012.

Expanded Acting Roles and Stage Work

Argota broadened her acting portfolio with a recurring role as Lou Chan on the ABC Family drama The Fosters in 2014. She made guest appearances on several television programs including iCarly, The Shield, The Wayne Brady Show, Mad TV, The Division, and The Troop.

She also played a recurring character—a bionic villain—on the Disney XD series Lab Rats.
