Billy Bretherton is known as an American exterminator and TV personality. He is most famous for his work on his TV program called Billy the Exterminator.
Billy Bretherton was born on September 16, 1968. Billy grew up close to nature, and he always stayed in touch with it. The first dream goal Billy pursued was a career in law enforcement. At the age of 19, he enlisted in the United States Air Force; his entrance examination for the Air Force revealed his passion for biology. He was sent to Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas to study biology and entomology. It was also around this time he began his extermination career. After starting his path in extermination, Billy would soon become a public figure.
Billy was married to his loving wife, Mary Bretherton. In 2012, he and his wife were arrested for possessing marijuana. However, they were found not guilty and released without much trouble. According to media reports, Billy and Mary's marriage became rocky after the arrest. They were often seen fighting during the TV show, but fans did not know if it was all an act to increase ratings.
There was a rumor that they argued about Mary's supposed pregnancy. According to the stories, Mary neglected to inform Billy of her pregnancy. It turned out that Mary was not pregnant, and the rumor was completely false. Billy was so angry about the rumor that he forced Mary to resign. This one fight about the pregnancy proved to be the beginning of a series of conflicts, struggles, and problems that soon led to a rumored divorce.
Billy wasn't an innocent party in their conflicts. There was speculation that he was having an affair with Pam, his brother's spouse. The matter was said to be happening at the time of the arguments between Billy and Mary. Pam was always around Bill, which added fuel to rumors. However, the talk turned out to be another false alarm. Billy never liked Pam, and he made her resign too.
Earlier in his life, when Billy was in the Air Force in 1988, he married a woman and had children before he met Mary. He divorced her for unknown reasons and then went on to marry Mary.

Billy got his big break when he appeared on the TV show, Dirty Jobs. The show's premise was to have the host explore the dirtiest and disgusting jobs that no one wants to do. The show was top-rated because of the bizarre things they showed. In one episode, the host had to help a crew clean up a crime scene. He had to clean the blood off a carpet, giving insight into what happens at a crime scene. After Billy's appearance on the show, he was contacted by the network, A&E.
A&E wanted to create a new show that would focus on Billy and his pest control company. They decided to call it Billy the Exterminator. Billy traveled to Canada in 2016 to begin production of the new show. The series was produced by Proper Television and featured encounters with wolves preying on livestock, beavers flooding country roads, and porcupine-infested homes. Billy loved being a part of the show because it was a return to his natural roots.
Billy the Exterminator followed the professional life of Billy Bretherton and his brother, Ricky Bretherton. The show documented the two brothers' day-to-day life as they ran Vexcon, their family business.
Other family members were also included in the show's cast, such as Billy's parents, "Big" Bill, and Donnie Bretherton. Billy's wife, Mary Bretherton, was also featured on the show. The show's tagline was: "Do you have a huge snake? A raccoon family living in your attic? Or are you so backwater redneck that you're attracted to your sister? Call Billy to help you out."
In 2012, Billy left Vexcon due to personal issues, and Billy the Exterminator was canceled after six seasons.
While in Canada, Billy wrote an article about the country. In that article, he shared six places he fell in love with during his stay in Toronto: Studio 67, Kensington Market, Doc's Leathers, G-Star Raw, High Park, and Toronto Metal Clubs. His favorite place was the metal clubs, and he couldn't hold back his excitement for them when he was asked about them, "I'm a diehard metal fan. It all started with Mötley Crüe in the '80s. Toronto has a great scene for discovering new musical acts and genres. Sometimes I wander into Bovine Sex Club or Hard Luck Bar to bond with metalheads and discover some new music."
