One of Brawley’s most notable roles is his part in Ransom starring Mel Gibson in the lead. Ransom was about a man’s son getting kidnapped and how he faces all odds to get his child back. At first, he tries to co-operate with the police investigation, but when all of that fails, he chooses a very smart tactic to get back his son. It was directed by Ron Howard and the movie received critical acclaim. Mel Gibson was also nominated for best actor in a drama at the Golden Globe Awards.
Mother Night was directed by Keith Gordon. Brawley enjoyed acting in this war-romance-drama. Brawley played the role of Young Howard Campbell. The film starred Brawley’s father Nick Nolte who is a very respected and celebrated actor. His father was cast in the role of Howard Campbell. Father and son played the same character but at different ages of the character’s life.

While Nick Nolte was seen in the role of Wade Whitehouse, Brawley was seen in the younger version of the character, young Wade Whitehouse. The movie had a very gripping script. Nolte Legal Problems
On October 6, 2009, Brawley was arrested for driving under the influence. It was not an offense that most people were willing to forgive. People usually aren’t surprised when the child of a celebrity gets in trouble because they expect that kind of behavior when a child has fame and fortune. What Brawley did could not be easily forgiven because he put other people’s lives in danger by driving drunk. He could have killed someone with his dangerous driving but luckily he did not. It was a lesson that Brawley would learn from but it was still something that made a lot of people disappointed in him.
Just like he did in acting, Brawley seemed to be following his father’s footsteps when it came to legal problems. His father, Nick was arrested for selling counterfeit documents in 1965. He was sentenced to 45 years in prison and $75,000 fine. The sentence was suspended but the felony conviction negated his eligibility to join the military which was a blow to Nick. He had wanted to serve in the Vietnam war to help his country. He felt incomplete because he was not able to help his country in the war.
Unfortunately, Nick set a bad blueprint for his son. He was arrested for drunk driving in Malibu on September 11, 2002. He decided that he needed to get his life together and checked himself into rehab at the Silver Hill Hospital in Connecticut on September 14, 2002. Blood and urine tests revealed that he was under the influence of a drug called GHB. Nick joked that he had "been taking it for four years and I've never been raped. Nick didn’t seem to learn from his mistake as 3 months later on December 12, 2002, he was again charged with a DUI. This time he was given probation for three years and had to go to rehab along with random drug testing.
Personal Life
Brawley attended Pierce College when he was just 15 years old after being homeschooled. It was a shocking experience because homeschooling does not always work out for children. Sometimes homeschooling can set a child back because they are not getting the sort of education they should be getting like other children. One big aspect that they miss the social factor that they could get at a regular school. That didn’t seem to bother Brawley though, he was able to finish primary school about 3 years earlier than most students. It seems that his parents had him on a good program that allowed him to expedite his learning.
Even though Brawley was highly intelligent and got to college at a young age, he wasn’t prepared for the lifestyle. He was still a young man attending college with people that were much older and have more life experience. Brawley was able to adapt and grow into an adult. Instead of bullying and picking on him, his fellow classmates saw him as a unique case. Not only he was the son of the famous Nick Nolte, he was also a genius kid because of his ability to get to the college at such a young age.
Brawley got married to Navi Rawat, in a very lavish wedding ceremony in the islands of Tahiti. The loving couple got married in the September of 2012. Navi is also an actress and has made appearances in films like Feast, House of Sand and Fog, and Numb3rs. Rawat has a mixed origin, her mother is German and her father is Indian.
Brawley is very good friends with Kristopher Dolphin. Dolphin is an editor, director and actor, who is well known for his short drama The Reunion.
