Chanel West Coast is known as an American rapper and entertainment personality. She is most famous for hosting TV shows produced by Rob Dyrdek.
Chanel West Coast was born as Chelsea Chanel Dudley. She has a passion for music which was ignited early in her life because her father was a DJ. In her school days, Chanel competed with the cheerleader squad and was also a member of the school’s orchestra.
Chanel’s rocky childhood was not very pleasant as her parents were separated. Chanel lived with her mom while she was seeking a divorce from her father. At the age of eleven, Chanel lost the stable financial support of her parents and had to accept help from local welfare. From these tough beginnings, Chanel learned to work hard to make her life better and was able to support herself. With time, she was eventually able to support her mother as well.
Chanel’s rap songs mostly consist of descriptions of her feelings and experiences. Her musical work reflects a woman with strong emotions and desire without a filter or a desire to conform to what people expect from a young woman.
Chanel began recording music albums at a young age and during those early days, she was introduced to a famous skater and entrepreneur, Rob Dyrdek. When they met, Rob had begun his career as a TV personality on MTV. Chanel eventually ended up as Rob’s assistant on one of his popular TV programs. She gained popularity among fans because of her beautiful appearance and funny personality.
In 2014, Chanel prompted conversations on the internet by announcing that she was working on her debut studio album and that she intended a release date of 2016. However, she gave her fans a taste of the entertainment and creativity encompassed in the album by releasing the first single on January 15, 2014. Dubbed Blueberry Chills, the song featured Asian American rapper Honey Cocaine.
After receiving positive feedback for her work, Chanel released the song Miles and Miles just nine months later. The song was the third single off her yet to be released album. For the first time in her career, West Coast was a featured vocalist and the main focus of her own project. In an attempt to stay relevant, West Coast released another song in 2015 dubbed Bass in the Trunk.
The most remarkable moment in Chanel’s career dates back to 2012. During this time period, Chanel was signed by Lil Wayne to join the Young Money Entertainment label. This pushed her career to greater heights as she released the Now You Know mixtape that featured popular artists such as Robin Thicke, Evan Ross, Snoop Dogg, and French Montana.
Dropkick Divas Media praised the mixtape and called it a success, claiming that it accomplished its intended mission of selling Chanel as an independent, talented woman with its hip-hop-inspired vibe. In order to promote her album, Chanel went on two headline tours: the Now You Know Tour and the Punch Drunk Love Tour.
In early January 2017, Chanel’s career heated up with the release of a new sexy music video. Her sultry new video has made her a subject of many conversations and has successfully sold her song Countin.
When asked in an interview about certain aspects of her personal life Chanel said that she values her privacy and would like to keep things to herself. According to her beliefs, every person who is in the entertainment industry should keep their personal lives to themselves or else they risk their lives being exploited.
Chanel was reported to be involved in a “ridiculous” nightclub fight. According to the allegations, Chanel not only beat on people but also kicked and punched a cop. Law enforcement officials stated that Chanel got violent inside a club and was fighting a girl whose identity is unknown. Chanel was promptly booted out of the club but, after going outside, Chanel could not help but fight with security as well. After being overpowered by security, Chanel was held until the arrival of the deputy from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department.
