Chris Fowler is known as an American sports broadcaster. He is most famous for hosting College GameDay on ESPN.
Chris Fowler was born on August 23, 1962, in Denver, Colorado. His father was a professor who taught drama in the theater. In 1980, Chris graduated from Palmer High School. He graduated in 1985 from the University of Colorado. The Denver Press Club awarded him the Alan Berg Memorial Journalism Scholarship. He was the first recipient of this scholarship.
He served as a cohost and a producer while he was an undergraduate at Denver. His magazine program was weekly and aired through a television cable system in Boulder, Colorado. He did this role from 1983 to 1985. At KAIR-AM, he was the sports director and spent two years at the university’s radio station. He was in charge of coverage for the high school sports from 1982 to 1984 for the Rocky Mountain News.
Chris Fowler is a sportscaster at ESPN. He became well known for hosting College GameDay. He has been a primary host of college football since 1989. Before he started working for ESPN, he worked for KCNC-TV for two years as a sports reporter and production assistant. At KMGH-TV in 1984, he worked for many months in the sports department as an intern. In July 1986, he joined ESPN as a reporter and host of the Scholastic Sports America. During his college football beat, he carried out an interview with Charles Thompson, a former quarterback star for the University of Oklahoma. He did this interview while Charles was a prisoner for drug abuse charges.
In February 2015, ESPN replaced him with Rece Davis for the GameDay show but Chris continued with his role on Saturday Night Football and the College Football Playoff games. He is also the host of the Heisman Trophy Presentations. From 1995 to 2000, Chris worked with ESPN’s Summer X Games. Other programs he hosted include horse racing and the breeders Cup Word Championship. He hosted tennis tournaments such as the US Open, Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the French Open.

Chris Fowler is married to a fitness and instructor model named Jennifer Dempster. They were fixed up by a mutual friend of theirs.
