Ciara Renée is an American actress, singer, and musician who was born on October 19, 1990, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she attended Central Dauphin East High School. She went on to attend Baldwin Wallace University in 2013 where she graduated with a degree in Music Theatre. Renée's career took off in September of 2013 when she made her Broadway debut at the Neil Simon Theatre as The Witch in "Big Fish".
The following year, Renée was cast as the Leading Player in the revival of the musical "Pippin". In 2014, Renée made her television debut as a guest star on NBC's crime drama "Law & Order: SVU". In 2015, Renée landed the role of Kendra Saunders, also known as Hawkgirl, in The CW's spin-off series "DC's Legends of Tomorrow". She also made a special guest appearance as her superhero role on the season finale of "The Flash" which aired on May 20, 2015. The following year, Renée appeared in the revival of Jonathan Larson's autobiographical musical "Tick, Tick... Boom!" which ran from October 20 to December 18, 2016. She went on to play Mary Magdalene in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" at The Muny in St. Louis, Missouri.
