Giuliana Rancic is known as a famous American TV personality. She is most famous for her work on the E! Network.
Giuliana Rancic was born on August 17, 1974. Giuliana is the daughter of Eduardo DePandi, who was an expert Italian tailor. The DePandi family owns a high-end men’s clothing store in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Giuliana holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree from American University in Washington D.C.
Giuliana married Bill Rancic on September 1, 2007. Her husband Bill was first introduced to the public as the season one winner of The Apprentice. He is now a developer, speaker, and television personality.
When they were in the final stages of building their Los Angeles home in the Brentwood neighborhood, they were excited to finally almost be done of their dream home so that their son Duke could have a great place to grow up in.
Every step of the building and design process was a hands-on collaboration between the couple and the professionals they hired. Bill’s background in development and real estate was really useful. A visionary with a keen eye for what “can be,” he had a passion for transforming an existing property into something functional and beautiful. That passion played an instrumental role in the home’s architectural details and led him to rework components that had already been constructed. Bill switched the slate countertops originally specified for the kitchen to Carrara marble.
Now that their home is complete and ready for life’s happiest moment, including Duke’s birthday parties, the Rancics are anticipating many more blissful family memories, “This is the most meaningful of any place we’ve lived in together because it’s where we brought our baby home and became parents. In past years, we’ve been in a hotel during the holidays. This year, we will put up our own tree.”
As a television personality and journalist for the E! Network, Giuliana Rancic is a co-anchor of E! News and is also the co-host of Fashion Police. Apart from being a news anchor, she also co-hosts various red carpet events such as the Academy Awards and Golden Globes. She has also hosted beauty pageants like Miss USA and Miss Universe on NBC.
She was the producer of Celebrity Rap Superstar which was featured on MTV in 2007.
Giuliana was watched by millions each week on the Style Network on her hit reality show, Giuliana & Bill which aired from 2010 to 2014. The couple was such a hit with fans that NBC asked both of them to host a dating series produced by the famous actress, Eva Longoria called Ready for Love in 2013.
Giuliana is blessed with unique beauty and was ranked #94 on Maxim Magazine’s Hot 100 Women of 2004. She was also featured on People Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful in 2006. In 2012, she was nominated for the People’s Choice Award for Favorite TV Celebrity Star.

The couple faced fertility issues and were publicly open about their struggles. To conceive, Giuliana and Bill began IVF transfers but the first time, Giuliana experienced a miscarriage in the ninth month of her pregnancy. In the second IVF transfer attempt, she could not conceive. When they decided to go for IVF for the third time, the doctor suggested a mammogram and that’s when Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer. The surprising diagnosis resulted in a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
During an interview on Today, Rancic announced that she was diagnosed with breast cancer and will be treated with a lumpectomy followed by radiation therapy. After undergoing surgery in October 2011, she resumed her work at E! News. It is commendable that the couple was motivated to have a baby despite Rancic’s condition and planned to have the baby through surrogacy. Their son, Edward Duke Rancic was born on August 29, 2012, in Denver, Colorado.
As their medical challenges were drawing to a close, their outlook began to improve. Rancic spoke about the support they received from friends, “Friends and family moved us into this house while we were in Denver awaiting the arrival of Duke. We stayed in Chicago, where Bill’s family is and where we also have a home, for the duration of my maternity leave. When we returned to Los Angeles, it was into our new home with our new baby. We could bury the bad memories of our former house. This was a fresh start for all of us.”
Rancic created Fab-U-Wish, a program to grant fashion, beauty, and celebrity-themed wishes to women battling breast cancer. This program is just one aspect of her ongoing mission to help those going through hardships to find happiness and a positive outlook on life.
