Eva Jacqueline Longoria was born on March 15, 1975, in Corpus Christi, Texas, United States. Raised in a Catholic household, she is the youngest of four daughters of Enrique Longoria Jr. and Ella Eva Mireles. Both of her parents are of Mexican descent.
After graduating high school, Longoria worked at a Wendy’s restaurant before pursuing higher education. She attended Texas A&M University–Kingsville, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology. During her college years, she also explored modeling and won the title of Miss Corpus Christi, USA, in 1998.
