Jabrill Peppers is an American NFL football player; he plays strong safety and return specialist for the Cleveland Browns. Jabrill Ahmad Peppers was born on October 4, 1995, in East Orange, New Jersey. Peppers attended Don Bosco Preparatory School in Ramsey, New Jersey, where he started as a cornerback in his freshman year. As a sophomore, Peppers moved to running back. Don Bosco won consecutive New Jersey State Championships in 2010 and 2011 and was USA Today’s topped ranked high school team in the nation in 2011. Peppers left Don Bosco to attend Paramus Catholic High School and led the Paladins to a state championship in both his junior and senior years. Peppers went on to play college football at the University of Michigan. In 2015, Peppers sophomore year at Michigan, Jim Harbaugh became head coach of the Michigan Wolverines.
Following the 2015 season, Peppers was named to the All-Big Ten defensive first-team, by both the coaches and media, and the All-Big Ten special teams second-team by coaches. Following the 2016 season, Peppers was named the Defensive Player of the Year, Linebacker of the Year, Return Specialist of the Year, and a Unanimous All-American. Peppers then announced that he would be foregoing his final two seasons of college availability and entering the 2017 NFL draft. The Cleveland Browns selected Peppers in the first round (25th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.
