Early Life and Education

James Joseph "Jim" Harbaugh was born in Toledo, Ohio. His father, Jack Harbaugh, was a football coach, prompting the family to move frequently. They lived in Ohio, Iowa, Kentucky, California, and Michigan during Jim's childhood. He attended schools in Palo Alto, California, and Ann Arbor, Michigan. Harbaugh later enrolled at the University of Michigan, where he played quarterback for the Wolverines.
