Jenna von Oy was born in 1977 in Danbury, Connecticut, to parents Frank von Oy and Gloria von Oy. She attended Newtown High School, where she began her acting career by participating in regional stage productions and appearing in television commercials.
Von Oy made her television debut in 1986 with a role in the ABC Weekend Special. She subsequently appeared in guest roles on Kate & Allie and Tales from the Darkside. From 1990 to 1991, she co-starred in the short-lived CBS sitcom Lenny.
From 1990 to 1995, Jenna von Oy gained wide recognition for her role as the fast-talking Six LeMeure on the NBC sitcom Blossom. Her performance in this series became a defining moment in her early career.
After Blossom ended, von Oy briefly enrolled at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. During her time there, she was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She attended for two years before leaving the university to continue her acting career.
In 1999, von Oy began portraying Stevie Van Lowe, the quirky best friend of Kim Parker, on the UPN sitcom The Parkers. The show ran until 2004. While working on The Parkers, she also provided voice work for the character Trinket St. Blaire in the animated series Pepper Ann.
She later appeared in television projects such as the TV movie Marsha Potter Gets a Life and guest-starred on an episode of Cold Case. Additionally, she voiced a parody of Rory Gilmore, originally portrayed by Alexis Bledel, in the Family Guy episode "Perfect Castaway."
Aside from television, von Oy appeared in the critically acclaimed film Born on the Fourth of July alongside Tom Cruise. She voiced Stacey in Disney’s A Goofy Movie and played Gracie in the direct-to-DVD release Dr. Dolittle 3.
In addition to her acting career, Jenna von Oy pursued a career in country music. She recorded a demo CD in 2000 and later released her debut album, Breathing Room, in 2007.
Jenna von Oy is married to Brad Bratcher, a computer data consultant. The couple resides in Connecticut and has two daughters, Marlowe Audrey Bratcher and Gray Audrey Bratcher. Her successful career in television, film, and music has contributed to an estimated net worth of over $2 million.
